Step 1: Hand Wash – To ensure a clean surface

We do not provide professional power washing services. However, if during the estimate both the customer and we agree that washing needs to happen, we can either hand wash it ourselves, or we may recommend for the customer to reach out to a local professional power washing company.

Step 2: Surface Prep – Scraping & Sanding, Priming and Minor Maintenance (Most Important)

  • It is important that All loose and peeling paint is removed for a solid surface for the paint to hold. We will sand afterward depending on the proposal. Then we must seal the house by caulking around the trim, windows, and doors. Also, putty any larger holes. Lastly, we must prime any bare wood spots to ensure there is a surface for the paint to adhere too.
  • For jobs that require staining, all above applies except we will not need to prime, as, stain seeps into the wood grain, which gives it a great wood-grain finish.
  • If your home has a glossy finish from the past we will scuff-sand the surface, which will stop flashing from happening.

Step 3: Painting/Staining – Systematic Approach

  • At level up we take a systematic approach when it comes to painting, this helps our efficiency, and it helps you – the customer, with understanding the progress of the job. We apply the finish coat with high-quality paint products. Two coats will be required if the color is changing.
  • We start on a side of your house. We use the Top Down, Left to right approach: starting with trim and working our way down.
  • We always practice the use of drop cloths while painting to catch any drips.

Step 4: Clean Up – Daily and Thorough

We will clean up at the end of each day, and do a thorough clean up at the end of the job.
